Charlie’s Sugar Shack is a 100% gluten free and tree nut free bakery. Our goal is to provide both a superior customer experience and tremendous value for our customers.

We have always enjoyed baking, and in 2017, we were going through the process of starting a bakery! Well, in March 2018, one of the owners was diagnosed with celiac disease. We couldn’t keep making “normal” bakery; we had to attempt this gluten free stuff.

It was a process for sure. We tried several different kinds of flours and we had to learn more about the science of baking. Gluten free baking really is a whole other world. But we learned, and then we created delicious treats that everyone was shocked to find out were gluten free! Our taste-testers are gluten-eaters, so their expectations are pretty high.

The other owner has a severe tree nut allergy, so it only makes sense that our bakery would be completely gluten free and tree nut free. This eliminates any worry of cross-contamination and gives our customers the freedom to choose ANYTHING on the menu!
